Star Academy

Star Academy Lalitpur(Nursing College) was established in 2069 with the aim to imparting quality education in health services by developing competent and self-reliant young nurses to cater quality nursing care in Nepal.Training program are designed with its long term vision of fulfilling the demand for skilled health professionals in Nepal.

Since its inception,it has been running three-year Proficiency Certificate Level(PCL) Nursing Program & General Medicine(H.A.) in affialition with the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT).It operates courses and academic activities by strictly following the ruels and regulations of CTEVT.

Star Academy Lalitpur (SAL) is located in Sanepa,Lalitpur District.It is operating as a sister organization of STAR Hosptal,a well furnished 50-bed hospital with quality infrastructure located in the Ring Road Sanepa,Lalitpur.It has been used for clinical practices,as stipulated in the curriculum.

Star Academy Lalitpur envisions quality health care services in Nepal being provided by health professionals with high moral and ethical values to transform the lives of persons and communities through innovative education and health care.

Mission

Star Academy Lalitpur imparts quality training programs to develop health professionals eg. Nurse and general medicine in order to improve access to health services of quality care in rural communities it is a private institution of higher education dedicated exclusively to educating students for the diverse opportunities offer by careers in nursing and other health care field.

Purpose

Star Academy Lalitpur serves students, the nursing profession, health care organizations, clients receiving care, and the increasing needs of society for qualified nurses and health professionals by offering programs for students who seek careers in nursing and other medical field. Star Academy Lalitpur devotes its resources to maintaining quality nursing programs in an environment that focuses on clinical competence across all scopes of practice, and that help develop the technical and thinking skills needed to foster successful careers and a life time of continued professional learning.

The programs build on foundations of general educations common to nursing education, general medicine and all programs meet or exceed common standards for nursing education programs in Nepal.

The medical Programs explore a differentiated practice model that teaches students to maximize their own role development, to seek the opportunity to learn and collaborate effectively with other nurses of differing educational preparations.

The programs integrate holistic health care values with Traditional health care values so students can explore the understanding of "Whole body wellness" in client care.Programs are offered to adult students from the economically and ethnically diverse regional community served.

Philosophy

The Philosophy of Star Academy Lalitpur believes on ethical aspects in teaching learning of health professionals. It designs training programs that impart not only theoretical knowledge but also creative and innovative skills by strictly following the standards rules and regulations of CTEVT.

We guarantee that the graduates from this institutions will be capable to work with high esteem and confident to cater health services in different situations at individual or at community level. The graduates will also be accustomed with morale and respect to the individual dignity and their confidentiality. At present SAL focuses its training program on developing competent and self -reliant nurse with high morale and capable of providing quality health care services.
